Digital Imaging Unit

Mission and Scope: The Digital Imaging Unit creates digital content from the Libraries’ collections of books, documents, prints, photographs, maps, and other works on paper; 35mm slides, glass plate negatives, and other transparencies; and paintings and three-dimensional objects.  We preserve irreparable materials using reformatting or replacement options available in-house and through contracted services.  The Digital Imaging Specialist also provides consultation for those undertaking their own digitization projects.

Limited digitization services are available, for a fee, to outside customers.  Please contact the Digital Imaging Specialist to determine whether our services are suitable for your project.
